I. Market Needs & Pain Points of Electric Standing Desks

As people place increasing importance on health, there is a growing need to reduce muscle and skeletal strain caused by long hours of working, studying, or entertaining at fixed desk heights. Prolonged static postures can easily lead to subhealth symptoms such as cervical spondylosis, shoulder inflammation, lumbar muscle strain, and vision decline. In response, smart electric standing desks for both office and home use have emerged. These multi-functional desks allow users to adjust the desk height at the touch of a button, meeting the needs of users of different statures and enabling seamless transition between sitting and standing positions.

While many electric standing desk models are available on the market, most adopt a motor + planetary gearbox structure. This design often leads to a series of challenges: insufficient load capacity, limited height adjustment range, short service life, high operating noise, imprecise control, uneven lifting caused by inconsistent speeds among columns, jerky movement, and poor positioning accuracy. These remain difficult issues for many existing products.

II. Fenghui’s Mature Electric Standing Desk Platform

Fenghui's motor solution for electric standing desks effectively addresses the common problems found in current products. We offer three motor platforms with capacities of 60 kg, 70 kg, and 80 kg.

  • The 60 kg and 80 kg platforms use a DC motor + worm gear mechanism, providing a single-column load capacity of 60 kg or 80 kg with reliable self-locking. They support height memory and multiple operation modes.

  • The 70 kg platform adopts a DC motor + multi-stage planetary gear system in a direct-drive configuration. It is compact enough to be installed directly inside the desk leg, offers a single-column load capacity of 70 kg, and ensures reliable self-locking. Fenghui holds full patents for this planetary direct-drive motor, giving us a solid technological advantage.

60 kg Platform Example

Using a plastic worm wheel + metal worm design, this platform can be customized to match varying user heights. Key performance features include:

  • Single-column load capacity: over 62 kg

  • Noise during operation: below 40 dB

  • Lifting speed: 30–40 mm/s (adjustable)

  • Support for multiple operation modes and height memory

  • Synchronization error across multiple columns: within 1.0 mm

Fenghui integrates the sensing magnet ring into the worm wheel and embeds the control system within the motor, saving installation space and enabling precise control. Our next step is to upgrade from brushed to brushless motors, further reducing noise and extending service life.
