Application of New Universal Motor Structure in Slicers

The slicer can cut various items into uniform slices or strips. It features user-friendly operation, time and labor efficiency, long-term durability, and hygienic safety. Its slicing performance is particularly superior to manual operation, making it widely suitable for processing fruits, vegetables, pastries, bread, meat, and traditional Chinese medicinal materials.

Currently, most slicers on the market use PU54 worm shaft universal motors as the main drive. To facilitate gearbox installation, meet high torque output requirements, and enhance bracket strength, both front and rear brackets are typically made of zinc alloy. This results in heavy weight, large size, and high cost.

The new universal motor structure for slicers eliminates the front and rear zinc alloy brackets. Adopting an installation method similar to power tools, the stator assembly is mounted directly onto an integrated plastic base. The rotor assembly is installed in slipper bearings within slots on the base, secured with spring pressure plates. The carbon brush holders are also directly mounted on the base. This design reduces the number of components, lowers weight and material costs, and supports automated production, thereby improving efficiency and reducing manufacturing costs.

In the increasingly competitive universal motor market, enhancing competitiveness requires meeting customer demands while maintaining quality and focusing on two key directions: motor miniaturization to reduce material costs, and process simplification with structural optimization to enable automated production and lower manufacturing costs. With 20 years of experience in motor customization, Fenghui has accumulated significant technical expertise and can rapidly develop tailored motor solutions based on customer requirements.
